Grandparents’ Day Celebration
Grandparents’ Day at our preschool is a heartwarming celebration dedicated to honoring the love, wisdom, and guidance that grandparents bring into children’s lives. The event is designed to strengthen the bond between generations and provide children with an opportunity to express gratitude to their grandparents. From the moment our little learners welcome their grandparents with handmade greeting cards and flower garlands, the atmosphere is filled with affection and joy. The celebration includes special performances by the children, such as songs, rhymes, and short skits that showcase their admiration for their grandparents. Every child gets the chance to come forward, speak a few words, and share stories about the role their grandparents play in their daily lives.

The second half of the celebration is filled with interactive activities where grandparents actively participate alongside their grandchildren. Fun games like memory matches, storytelling competitions, and craft-making sessions allow both generations to laugh, bond, and learn from each other. A highlight of the day is the “Grandparents Talent Show,” where many of them display hidden talents such as singing folk songs, playing musical instruments, or narrating moral stories. These activities not only entertain but also help children understand the cultural heritage and values passed down through generations. The event concludes with a heartfelt thank-you speech by the teachers, followed by the distribution of mementos as tokens of love for the grandparents. The smiles, laughter, and warmth shared on this day make it one of the most cherished events of the preschool calendar.
